Biography

"We want to do our model-based analyses in-house."

Dr. Jesper Jensen founded TECA TRAINING in 2005 to meet an increasing number of requests for training.

His research is within trade, climate and tax policy analysis. He has worked on trade with researchers in the Development Research Group of the World Bank since 1994 and completed work in places like Armenia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tunisia, Tanzania. An example of climate analysis is "Flexible Multi-gas Climate Policies" and an example of tax analysis is "The Dilemmas of Tax Coordination in the Enlarged European Union".

He worked for Copenhagen Economics during 2000-2004 as a co-founder and director. A major piece of his modelling work from this period was a study of the Services Directive for the European Commission.

He earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and a MA in Economics from the University of Colorado. Professor Thomas Rutherford introduced him to GAMS in 1994. Jesper has run GAMS workshops for more than 10 years, occasionally together with Professor James Markusen.
